SAN DIEGO, CA, March 10, 2006 – InfoSonics Corporation (AMEX: IFO), one of the fastest growing distributors of wireless handsets in the United States and Latin America, today announced that it has sent a formal demand letter to the Berlin-Bremen Stock Exchange (the "BBSE") requesting that the BBSE delist the Corporation's common stock. InfoSonics has never applied for a listing on the BBSE, nor did it authorize the listing of its shares on the BBSE, and has no intention of doing so. Furthermore, InfoSonics did not authorize or direct any German broker to act as a market maker for the Corporation's common stock.
InfoSonics is working with its attorneys to have its common stock delisted from the BBSE and address any impact the unauthorized listing had on its stock. InfoSonics will investigate the available remedies within applicable securities laws.
Commenting on the delisting, Chief Financial Officer, Jeffrey Klausner said, "We have worked hard to build InfoSonics to our current levels of success and are working diligently to have the Berlin Exchange remove the unauthorized listing of our shares."
